Abby's Angels is dedicated to preventing suicide by helping people battling mental health issues and the stigma of mental health know that they are validated, respected, and not alone. We want to ensure that the basic mental health needs of our young people are being met with timely access to mental health support and treatment. We also want to ensure the facility where these people are treated has the basic resources and the staff are appreciated.

Abby's Angels Mosaic
The Abby’s Angels mosaic began as a community creation. Attendees at our gala launch were invited to choose tiles that appealed to them and adhere them to a backboard. This was a representation of how individuals working together can form a group that serves a larger purpose, and how our friends and donors served as “angels” helping to create a beautiful foundation.
Subsequently, the artist, Paul Murray, applied minimal strokes and lines of color to create a face and the merest suggestion of wings and a nimbus, or halo. Two quotes were added —the first a reflection on how, even as ordinary people, we can be angels to others, particularly in times of need. The second, which occupies the only blank portion of the mosaic, is a poetic reflection on how, while we all may be flawed, it’s those very flaws that allow “the light to get in.”
For those of you who participated, it may now be a puzzle to remember where your tiles went, but rest assured, they are a part of the whole. We hope you enjoy this artwork and what it stands for as we continue together to build a picture of hope for those experiencing dark times.
